Man Loses Life Savings On Carnival Game
A New Hampshire man, Henry Gribbohm says he lost his entire life savings, $2,600, on a carnival game. All he has to show for it? A big Rastafarian banana.
CBS Boston is reporting that Gribbohm thought it wouldn’t be possible to lose every penny he had managed to save. “You’re expecting the kids to win a few things, let the kids have a good time,” said Gribbohm. “It just didn’t turn out that way.”
Gribbohm was trying to win an Xbox Kinect at a game called Tubs of Fun, where contestants toss balls into a tub. Gribbohm practiced, but when it came time to the actual game, he choked.
“It’s not possible that it wasn’t rigged,” Gribbohm said in disbelief.
Gribbohm lost $300 and then went home and grabbed his remaining $2,300 only to lose that.
“You just get caught up in the whole ‘I’ve got to win my money back,” Gribbohm said.
