Remember the cute voice of Peanuts character Charlie Brown? That voice actor is Peter Robbins, and he’s seen his share of troubles.
Robbins was arrested in January of this year on two felony counts of stalking and criminal threats against his girlfriend Shawn Kern and her plastic surgeon. The 56 year-old has been held in jail ever since, and plead guilty this week, but not before he emotionally read a letter of apology.
He was then sentenced to a year of jail time, but a California judge gave him credit for time served and immediately ordered Robbins to eight months at a drug treatment facility center followed by five years probation.
The probation report says the judgement was affected by the fact that Robbins was impaired by an alcohol and drug addiction at the time of the crimes.
Perhaps, one day, Robbins will once again hear these famous words, You’re a good man, Charlie Brown.
