Double Dose Of Black Sabbath: ‘God Is Dead’ & ‘End Of The Beginning’ Videos
After over a year of non-stop Black Sabbath news, their album 13 was finally released Tuesday. Rather it was unleashed unto the world and it’s pretty awesome. Above is their recently released music video for “God Is Dead,” an almost nine minute long affair that features creepy clips and sounds pretty similar to old school Black Sabbath. Not bad boys.
Their producer, the illustriously-bearded Rick Rubin said that working with Black Sabbath was much like how it would have been in their beginnings.
“I think the hardest part was getting them comfortable playing together again and to go back to the recording techniques of their earliest work,” said Rubin about the reunited band to NME. “Technology has changed the way music has been made since then, and as individual artists, they have changed the way they record to more a modern method. For this album, we took much more of a ’60s approach to recording.”
It was all worth it, though. “Coming to the studio each day and hearing Black Sabbath sound like Black Sabbath was a magical experience. I grew up listening to their music and all of the bands that came in their wake. There is nothing like hearing the real thing!”
Black Sabbath also released a video of their song “End of The Beginning” which is basically the scene from their CSI: Crime Scene Investigation appearance in May.
