It’s been a good couple of years for Gregg Allman: 2011’s T-Bone Burnett-produced Low Country Blues was highly acclaimed and earned a GRAMMY nomination, his autobiographyMy Cross To Bear, was a hit (and is being adapted for a feature film). And of course, the Allman Brothers Band is still very much an ongoing concern.

Now news comes that a huge tribute concert in his honor is being organized at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta for early next year. “All My Friends: Celebrating the Songs & Voice of Gregg Allman” will feature a lineup of major stars including Trace Adkins, Jackson Browne, Eric Church, Natalie Cole, Brantley Gilbert, John Hiatt, Taj Mahal, Keb’ Mo’, Martina McBride, Pat Monahan of Train, Sam Moore of Sam & Dave, Robert Randolph, Susan Tedeschi, Don Was and Widespread Panic, as well as, of course, the Allmans.

An all-star band will be led by Was (who recently held the bandleader position at a Levon Helm tribute concert that Allman performed at) and Allman Brother Warren Haynes. The concert will take place on January 10, and tickets go on sale at 10 am ET on November 1 at the Fox Theatre’s website. For more information, go to the concert’s official webpage.
