Turns out releases from Michael Jackson and Johnny Cash may not be the only albums getting the old-is-now-new treatment in the coming months.

In an interview last week with BBC Radio, Queen guitarist Brian May spoke to new albums from the band (via Rolling Stone). May was asked about his favorite Queen song that was ever recorded, which might generally seem like a bit of a lazy question, but it got May talking about a song that was released after frontman Freddie Mercury’s death — something he said the band plans to do in the future.

“…my favorite at the moment is ‘Made in Heaven,’ which was never a single but it’s the title track off the album [Made in Heaven] we made after Freddie was gone with all the pieces that were left,” he said. “I’ve just been doing something very similar because we found a few more tracks with Freddie singing and all of us playing and they’re quite beautiful. People will be hearing this work toward the end of the year.”

May revealed that the album, which may be called Queen Forever, will be a compilation culling mainly from material recorded in the ’80s.
