Guns N’ Roses Confirm New Album ‘Chinese Democracy II’ Exists

The wait is over, but in a sense, it may be just beginning. Axl Rose has confirmed the existence of two new Guns N’ Roses albums: A sequel of sorts to 2008’s Chinese Democracy and a remix album.

“We recorded a lot of things before Chinese was out,” Rose said in an interview with Revolver (via Rolling Stone). “We’ve worked more on some of those things and we’ve written a few new things. But basically, we have what I call the second half of Chinese. That’s already recorded. And then we have a remix album made of the songs from Chinese. That’s been done for a while, too.”

GNR are currently holed up in Vegas at a residence for Hard Rock Hotel & Casino until July 7, after which Axl says “we’re going to start looking very seriously at what we’re doing in that regard.”

The album was also previously hinted at by guitarist  Richard Fortus at the actually named Golden God Awards in Los Angeles in April of this year. “We are working on stuff and hopefully very soon we’re going to have new stuff out,” said Fortus. “Well, in the next year.”
