Jesse Ventura Wins “American Sniper” Trial

A jury in a St. Paul federal court decided in favor of Jesse Ventura in his defamation trial Tuesday afternoon, according to WCCO’s Pat Kessler.

Ventura was awarded $1.8 million in damages, and $500,000 in damages for defamation.

Ventura sued the estate of Chris Kyle, author of the best-selling autobiography “American Sniper,” after he included an anecdote in the book about punching Ventura outside of a California bar in 2006.
