Seattle-based producer Rick Parashar, known for producing two major albums from 1991 —  Pearl Jam‘s multi-platinum debut Ten and the self titled Temple of the Dog album — has died. He was 50.

The producer reportedly passed away Aug. 14.  A message on his official website reads “Rest Peacefully Rick/December 13, 1963 – August 2014.”

Northwest Music Scene posted that the King County Medical Examiner reported that Parashar died at his home in Queen Ann, Seattle, Wash., from natural causes and that Parashar’s assistant Matthew Freeman confirmed that information.

Parashar and his brother Raj founded Seattle’s London Bridge Studios in 1985. The studio was, at one point, the center of the city’s burgeoning scene in the late ’80s and early ’90s.

Pearl Jam paid respects via their official Twitter account, as did  Nickelback and Chris Henderson of 3 Doors Down.
