The Wall is the Pink Floyd album that keeps on giving.
Not only has the 1979 double album inspired a musical film, two documentaries about the making of it and Roger Waters‘ record-breaking 2010-2013 The Wall Live Tour — which set a new record for highest-grossing solo tour — its legacy is still living on, soon in the form of a new documentary.
Roger Waters: The Wall will chronicle Waters’ last tour, which marked the first time he performed The Wall in full. Premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, the film is credited to Waters and his tour’s creative director Sean Evans. As Rolling Stone reports, the film will be heavy on the record’s themes of war and loss and show an “exhilaratingly visceral experience.”
That’s easy to believe if you’ve seen the original musical film on The Wall.
