Steven Tyler Contributes Vocals to ‘Sin City’ Soundtrack: Hear ‘Skin City’
If you were thinking of using an iconic hard rock artist from the ’70s for the Sin City: A Dame to Kill For soundtrack, the obvious choice would probably be AC/DC. It would be an easy fit, as they have a classic song called “Sin City,” from their 1978 album, Powerage.
Tyler is one of the only featured vocalists on the soundtrack album, alongside actress Marci Madison (who isn’t in the film, but has appeared in previous Rodriguez productions including Machete, Machete Kills, Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D and the TV series From Dusk Til Dawn.
“Skin City” (not “Sin City”) is credited to “Robert Rodriguez featuring Steven Tyler,” and sees Tyler singing over metal guitars and electronic beats, and sounds a bit like some of Aerosmith’s electronic tinged songs from the Just Push Play era.
