ZZ Top Cancels Shows After Bassist Falls, Injures Hip

By Kevin Rutherford

ZZ Top have suspended many of their upcoming tour dates following a fall by bassist Dusty Hill.

In a release, show promoter Ravinia revealed that the group’s Aug. 28 concert in Chicago, which also was scheduled to feature Jeff Beck, had been canceled. Tonight’s show in Clarkston, Mich., met a similar fate.

Hill reportedly fell on the band’s tour bus last night (Aug. 26) and injured his hip, requiring medical attention.
