Nickelback to Headline Opening Night of 2017 Grandstand Concert Series
St. Paul, Minn. – Nickelback is the first show confirmed for the 2017 Grandstand Concert Series sponsored by Sleep Number. The rock band, headed by Chad Kroeger, will play opening night of the 2017 Minnesota State Fair. Show details are as follows:

7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24
Tickets: $80 (general admission, plaza-level standing room, no chairs) and $65 (reserved seating, mainstand)
On sale: 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9
Tickets will be available through Etix at etix.com or by calling (800) 514-3849. In addition, tickets may be purchased at the State Fairgrounds Ticket Office during a special limited-time opening from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Dec. 9. State Fair gate admission tickets, good any day of the 2017 fair, are on sale now at the pre-fair discount price of $10 each through Etix as well. Additional Grandstand artists will be announced periodically throughout the next several months. State Fair fans and music enthusiasts are encouraged to sign up for the State Fair’s e-news at mnstatefair.org to receive concert announcements before tickets go on sale.
