Jack White to Headline Farm Aid 2014 Alongside Neil Young, Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp & Dave Matthews
Jack White doesn’t seem to care too much about baseball, but he does care about America’s farmers. And to show his appreciation he’s headlining this year’s Farm Aid in Raleigh, North Carolina.
“I’m kind of a producer, partially, an engineer, I’m not really good at either one. It’s hurt my records in the past. We’re performance-oriented: technical things don’t matter that much”
“Our shows are loose, but we started thinking that maybe this summer we should make them looser and bring some of that feeling to the stage,” Dave Matthews said.
The Nauts grew out of a casual studio jam session with the two artists alongside guitarist Charlie Sexton, his brother Will Sexton and drummer Brady Blade.
Earlier this year, Farm Aid President Willie Nelson celebrated his 80th birthday, and the man shows no signs of slowing down.
Emily Kraus and her boyfriend might have thought they were two Billies tripping on something when, on their way to a concert, they saw the man they were en route to see, stopped on the side of the road.
The full artist lineup for the 2013 Farm Aid concert in Saratoga Springs, New York was revealed this week.
This year’s Farm Aid will take place in upstate New York on September 21st.
Dave Matthews is going home to South Africa and for the first time, bringing his bandmates with him.
All proceeds from the show will go to Sandy relief efforts in the Garden State.
