It’s a tradition as old as The Tonight Show: Most nights, bands big and small play on the national stage of late night television.
The bill features a number of husband wife combos: Paul Simon and Edie Brickell, Tina Fey and her husband (and “30 Rock” music composer) Jeff Richmond, Sting and Trudie Styler, Amy Grant and Vince Gill and James and Caroline Taylor. Stevie Wonder is on the bill with his daughter Aisha Morris, and Steve Martin is going “stag,” appearing on the lineup solo.
Axl Rose may have to stick to a schedule for once: he and Guns N Roses have signed on to perform at this years Bridge School Benefit Concert, and the young audience have a curfew to stick to. Also on the bill: Neil Young & Crazy Horse, comedian Steve Martin and his bluegrass group The Steep Canyon Rangers, The Flaming Lips, Jack White, Sarah McLachlan, Foster The People, Lucinda Williams, k.d. lang and Gary Clark Jr.
