Waging Heavy Peace
When discussing his many archival projects (including releases of his live recordings and a 10-disc box set), he says: “The fact that I want to create a chronological history of my recordings and supporting work is proof-positive that I am an incurable collector, confronted with an amazingly detailed array of creations that I have painstakingly rat-holed over the years. Some of them are complete pieces of s***, but they have their place in my chronological obsession.”
It’s been a busy year for Neil Young. After releasing Americana with his long time band Crazy Horse in June, he and “The Horse” are getting ready to release Psychedelic Pill October 30. But next week, he’ll release his long-awaited memoirs, Waging Heavy Peace.
One of the most hotly anticipated rock memoirs of the year is easily Neil Young’s Waging Heavy Peace, in which the mercurial musician will tell his stories from his days in Buffalo Springfield, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, and Crazy Horse.
